How many times in your life have you heard “there’s an oil for that”? If we’re talking about me…I’ve lost track. I mean, just from the array of oils in the above photo, it’s enough to make you crazy with intrigue, no? ;) What do I use them for? Why do I use them? How many times a day, do I diffuse them or apply them topically or both?! All the questions! Get your cute lil noggins ready because this blog post is all about my favourite essential oils, how I use them and the what’s, why’s…and then some!
Back in February I decided I needed to take some sort of a test to see which foods I was intolerant to. It had been almost 6 years since I had last been tested and the body changes quite a bit in just a year alone…so, it was time. I did a bit of research and finally landed on Pinner Test, one of the most accurate at-home Food Intolerance Testing Kits. I mean, if I don’t have to leave home to go to some creepy building to get blood tests, AND it’s still accurate, count me in! (Jk about the creepy building..maybe haha.) On February 6th, I received my Pinner Test and went straight to testing this bad boy out. I’m sure all of you are keen to know about how this whole ordeal went…right? Well, before we get into that, let’s chat about what Pinner Test is and how it works.
I am so excited about today’s feature post! The lovely and incredibly wonderful Katie Hess, author + flower alchemist, has written a gorgeous, transformative book, translating the wisdom + magic of flowers. It’s been a long time coming, and I could not be more ecstatic for this book and its beautiful message and insight! One of the most important discoveries you will make in Flowerevolution is that each flower has its own special message and teaching. You will also discover:

Hello lovelies! I have for you something a bit different today – it isn’t a review, however it is very relevant to the last review I did regarding Bali Botanic. Before I got into Essential Oils, I did a lot of research on them, figuring out what oils were best for your health/skin issues and more…of course that helped me out a bit, but there were (and still are) a lot of questions I had. As you know, we never stop learning and EO’s never cease to amaze me with their medicinal and therapeutic powers.
Essential oils are volatile liquids distilled from plants and organic matter like seeds, flowers, fruit, stems, bark, roots, and leaves. They can be used to heal and support your body’s emotional and physical well-being, typically entering the body in three ways. Application to the skin using a compress, a spray, a bath, or massage; they can be inhaled using a diffuser, dry evaporation, steam, or a spray; and they can be ingested either orally or by suppository. (Please take caution and note that the ingestion of essential oils is only recommended under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider.)
So pumped about today’s feature, Zyderma HS! I have nothing but great things to say about this company and product – not to mention, Kelly (their Public Relations Product Specialist) is the sweetest, most informative woman! But let’s not waste any time chit-chatting, let’s jump right in and find out more about them and what their product can do for you!
This Canadian (yay) company was co-founded by David Okamoto, Rick Martin & Tom Heinar, who carry an extensive background in the cosmetics and healthcare industry. They’ve learned a ton about the harmful ingredients in most skin care products, as well as the resulting side effects. They’re totally relatable on a personal level, as parents and friends of those who suffer with different skin disorders and in the process, have become increasingly concerned with the lack of skin-friendly products. That’s when it was decided that action needed to be taken, time to make a difference!
