I mean, just from the array of oils in the above photo, it’s enough to make you crazy with intrigue, no? ;) What do I use them for? Why do I use them? Get your cute lil noggins ready because this blog post is all about my favourite essential oils, how I use them and the what’s, why’s…and then some!
We’re all aware that the holidays are just around the corner…I mean, I think everyone decided to go Christmas crazy really early this year. It seems like all of my friends posts and videos are of Christmas decor or music! Just me? But for real, I’ll blink and the next thing I know it’s Christmas morning (LOL..)! Ok, I promise, I am going to keep the intro to this post simple, just like the gift guide. If you are wanting some ideas for gifts this year, here are some products/brands I have been loving and I personally think would make a lovely gift! Annnnnd 1, 2, 3…go!
When Gianne and Jay founded Organic Bath Co., they were inspired by brands who used their cache to make the world better through charitable donation. They knew that giving back would be a huge part of their brand’s ethos.
Hello lovelies! I have for you something a bit different today – it isn’t a review, however it is very relevant to the last review I did regarding Bali Botanic. Before I got into Essential Oils, I did a lot of research on them, figuring out what oils were best for your health/skin issues and more…of course that helped me out a bit, but there were (and still are) a lot of questions I had. As you know, we never stop learning and EO’s never cease to amaze me with their medicinal and therapeutic powers.
Essential oils are volatile liquids distilled from plants and organic matter like seeds, flowers, fruit, stems, bark, roots, and leaves. They can be used to heal and support your body’s emotional and physical well-being, typically entering the body in three ways. Application to the skin using a compress, a spray, a bath, or massage; they can be inhaled using a diffuser, dry evaporation, steam, or a spray; and they can be ingested either orally or by suppository. (Please take caution and note that the ingestion of essential oils is only recommended under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider.)
The Japanese word genki means to be happy, healthy and in harmony with oneself. It suggests wellbeing is achieved by balancing physical, emotional and spiritual elements to create a happy self.

Nurturing the health of our skin helps to promote the health of our body and mind, and nurturing the health of our body and mind helps to promote healthy glowing skin. This holistic point-of-view can be the way to a genki life – happy and healthy on the inside & out. Her hope is that these products and point-of-view help inspire holistic happiness. Every product is designed to encourage you to take a moment in the day, just for you, to create a nurturing ritual and luxurious well-earned rest from the fast pace of life, promoting optimum inner health and harmony.
All natural, vegan and cruelty-free meets punk rock, rebel minimalist! The first thing that comes to mind when looking at Bare Bones Body Care‘s branding and products. Isn’t it just the cutest?! The company was born after Monica, the founder and creator of Bare Bones, suffered with years of sensitive skin and allergic reactions. When she was younger, her skin started to react to the mainstream skin care brands and she was forced to switch to the “all natural” options available. Every time she’d read the label of a skin care product her brain went on ingredient overload. She never knew what she was really putting on her body until she did the research…then quickly realized that an “all natural” label doesn’t usually refer to most of the ingredients inside; in fact, the labels tend to mention just one or two of them. Bare Bones is about using only ingredients that will make your skin the happiest skin in all the land. Some elements are made from scratch, and others are sourced from organic and/or local suppliers. All products are vegan and not tested on animals. All Monica wanted were skin care products that had as few ingredients as possible, did what they were supposed to and weren’t harmful to her (or anyone else) in any way…so, she started making her own. Some of the products she makes are cleanser, toner, moisturizer and lip balm – and all in her kitchen! Monica promises:
“True beauty comes from within”, a saying we hear quite a bit. It may sound cliché, but I know that personally, I’ve experienced feeling more inwardly beautiful when I make a decision to choose joy and positivity. Of course, there are many ways that inward beauty can be achieved, and it can simply start with mental and emotional health.
I want to chat a bit today about how how nature can increase or decrease feelings and emotions, using flower essences. I have always been a firm believer that naturopathic remedies are our best “medicine”. That being said, I’ve always been intrigued with what flowers can impart in our daily health. A creation so beautifully perfected, from the ground we walk on! Not only are they beautiful to look at, but they can treat us on so many levels!
