It’s here! My long awaited updated skincare routine! Let me just tell you, I have become a bit of a skincare minimalist as of recently. I had a little perioral dermatis-esque thing happening near my jaw/cheek/mouth area a couple of months ago, so I reached out the queen of all things knowledgable in PD, Dr. Sarah Villafranco โ better known as OSMIA Organics!
She recommended the following protocol, and I stuck to it for 3 weeks and saw my skin clear up within a week of doing it! I don’t think I had a full fledged outbreak of PD, but wow. This routine WORKED.
Anywho, I had to preface that first because the following products I am about to share are still very much OSMIA focused with the addition of some other faves and masks etc. So here we go:
MORNING ROUTINE
- Splash of cold water to wake me up
- GENTLE CLEANSING MILK
- Fitglow Beauty Calm Cleansing Milk (use code HULLOSAM for 15% off all Fitglow)
- OSEA Malibu Ocean Cleansing Milk
- Warm water on a washcloth (these are my fave)
- FACE MIST
- If I feel like a no makeup day and need it, I love applying a blemish oil such as…
- MOISTURIZER
- SPF!
- LIPS
NIGHT ROUTINE
I like to do a double cleanse! It ensures all my makeup is off, and the first step, cleansing oil, removes SPF the best!
- CLEANSING OIL
- GENTLE CLEANSER/MILK
THIS IS WHERE YOU WILL CHOOSE WHETHER YOU WANT TO MASK OR NOT! IF YOU DO….
- MASKS
I have so many other faves, you can check them out in my Extra Green Beauty Faves document!
- FACE MIST/TONER
- FACE SERUM (water based – I’ve been staying away from oils lately)
- MOISTURIZER
- If my skin is feeling a bit oily/congested/problematic, I like the following moisturizers:
- Fitglow Beauty Age Clear Lotion
- Weleda Clarifying Lotion (sometimes I even just focus this on my t-zone and apply the face cream moisturizers above on any areas that don’t get as oily/congested!)
- LIPS
- Henne Organics Lip Mask (amazing for 30 minutes or overnight if you like!)
- Fitglow BeautyNight Lip Serum
- Osmia Organics Lip Doctor
- Kari Gran Lip Whip
Another hot topic that is highly asked/requested is on the order of skincare…like which do you start off with? Face oils or face creams? Serums or toners? What’s what? Why’s this a thing? All the questions…
So, to answer your questions, here’s a little diagram for your reference! Please be sure to tag me if you share it and spread the information! :)

IMPORTANT TAKEAWAY: The more expensive the face oil or serum, the closer you want it to your skin.
And that’s about it for now! Thanks for tuning in. Let me know what you’d like to see next on my blog! I’ve got a lot of time…haha. Hope everyone’s staying healthy, safe and happy!
