Joy Provisions: Luxe Natural Beauty

I’m always on the hunt for new, safe, and clean cosmetics, skincare, and body care–ALL THE CARE, basically–that I haven’t tried, and will leave me thinking “WOW! This is goooood!”. With that being said, I recently had the chance to connect with Mimi, the owner of Joy Provisions: an all-natural, luxury beauty shop. (UPDATE: Joy Provisions is now closed, but I have linked each product to the appropriate brand/shop so you can still check the out!) I’ve had many opportunities to work with clean beauty shops, all of which were (and still are) awesome! So, what sets apart Joy Provisions from the rest? Well first off, Mimi is the warmest, sweetest lady! She is down to earth, so sweet and incredibly professional. There’s something to be said about someone who can be friendly, relational and professional at the same. I feel like it can be a rare trait to find! I also love her company mission:

Joy Provisions is still all about pretty bottles and gorgeous textures, but ones with no moral compromise to reach. They encapsulate what defines the modern woman: beauty, integrity, forward-thinking, and uncapped desire. There are also fun, informative Two Minute Beauty Routines on their site, I love it! Born out of a desire to do things differently, Joy Provisions is all about every sensual indulgence, while still appreciating the luxury of a clear conscience.

So, let’s talk about the lovely products I’ve had the opportunity to try out! I’ve been genuinely enjoying them and am so excited to share them.*

As you can clearly see above, there are five products that Mimi was so kind as to let me choose. I’ve been wanting to try these for a while, so you can imagine my excitement when I was browsing through the lovely product selection on the site. Let’s get started!

Lily Lolo Mascara

Mascara, mascara! One of the many I’ve tried…but because I had heard SO many amazing things regarding the Lily Lolo Mascara, I just had to get my hands on it! Natural mascara is no joke you guys…it is TOUGH to find a clean ingredient mascara that actually works. I’ve only a couple I truly like, so I am happy to say that this Lily Lolo Mascara is one of them!

Beautifully and minimally packaged, this mascara is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I mean, let’s face it, I’m a sucker for packaging! But what’s really the sell for me (which, duh, it should be) is the formula! This formula works! I’d maybe compare it to Tarte “Lights, Camera, Lashes” because it has incredible staying power. I also never noticed any fallout–which is HUGE for me. No raccoon eyes, yay! The ingredients in this mascara formula impart that dramatic length, color, and volume that we ladies long for. Plus, it was created with sensitive skin in mind. No itching or redness here, just beautiful, long, dramatic lashes!

Josh Rosebrook Lift

Flat hair in this North Carolina humidity is real, you guys. Frizz too, but I get a bit of both…
I had yet to find a natural hair product that helped with these issues, then I realized one of my faves, Josh Rosebrook, carried a hair product that helps with volume…and surprisingly enough, frizz too!

Josh Rosebrook Lift is a Godsend for me right now! Incredibly lightweight, instantly creating volume, while promoting natural hair texture. It smells lovely, feels lovely, encourages hair growth, and even supports a stronger, thicker hair shaft. The ingredients, of course, are incredible! With an array of organic essential oils such as Lavender, ylang-ylang, Peppermint, and more, you’re sure to have a lovely-smelling head of volume and texture. ;)

Kypris Antioxidant Dew

My skin is sensitive/combination…which means I’ll sometimes have incredibly drying skin, OR very oily skin–but ALWAYS sensitive. This nudges me in the direction of WHAT THE HECK DO I DO FOR MOISTURIZER!? Just kidding, I was being a bit dramatic. But, really, my skin (and myself for this matter) is fickle. I need a product that cares for my sensitive skin, and yet it still balances and moisturizes my combo skin. Well, I’ve found the solution: Kypris Antioxidant Dew!

This beautiful blue bottle restores vitality to your skin. Whenever I use it, I not only feel it hydrating my skin, yielding a gorgeous dewy glow, but it also soothes me. Something my sensitive, imbalanced, stressed skin needs! With ingredients such as rose and reed extracts (amongst many other wonderful ingredients) known for soothing and calming your complexion, my skin drinks this product in, happily. The consistency of this moisturizer is light, creamy (almost milky), and has a serum-y (can we make this a word, please?) texture. I love how well–hydrated and breathable my skin feels after I apply this Antioxidant Dew.

Josh Rosebrook Cacao Antioxidant Mask

Those who know me, know I am a lover of masks (masques? Eh both!). I probably house about 15 or more! I have a mask for every issue or concern, masks that hydrate, exfoliate, purify, and resurface. You name it, I’ve probably got it! (Unless it isn’t safe for sensitive skin, ha.)

Josh Rosebrook does it again! (I told you he has some of my favourite products.) His Cacao Antioxidant Mask is groundbreaking. Containing herbal infusions of Lavender Flowers, Ginkgo Leaf, Alfalfa, Bilberry, Neem Leaf,  Comfrey, and Marshmallow Root..just to name a few–my skin feels like a million bucks with the mask on, and with it off. I won’t lie, I initially thought this mask would smell like chocolate–being that it had Cacao in its name, haha. But, it actually has a more herbal scent, which makes sense! I noticed immediately after the first try that this mask delivered clearer, firmer, and brighter skin. It’s also known to restore skin’s natural healing ability. Where does the organic cacao come in? Well,  that helps stimulate blood flow and deliver active nutrients to your cells. It’s detoxifying, brightening, anti-inflammatory, and overall lovely.

Last, but certainly not least, we’ve got an all natural deodorant. Oh boy, here we go again…another deodorant. I know you’re thinking it, I mean, I thought it. But, I just cannot say no to a deodorant that was featured on Vogue and InStyle, claiming to be one of the best natural deodorants. And with great ingredients too, of course! I just had to find out for myself!
