Introducing the new (to me at least), incredible, Lorena Canals WASHABLE rugs! Wait…did I just write “WASHABLE” and RUG in one sentence!? Yes indeed I did! Just you wait til I tell you more! But for the moment, I’ll let you pick up your jaw from the ground. ;) I know…she’s a beaut.

WHO IS LORENA CANALS

Established in 1990, Lorena Canals designs and produces rugs and textile accessories that are both stylish and practical. Made from 100% cotton, these rugs are machine-washable, meeting the needs of modern lifestyles.

Okay, so now that you’re fully aware how amazing Lorena Canals is…let’s chat about how AMAZING these rugs have been for me.

As you saw above, I have the Bereber Rhombs rug (SIZE: 4′ 7″ x 7′ 1″) and Bereber Beige runner (SIZE: 2′ 8″ x 7′ 6″). Both are in the same style family (clearly) and both are SO great.

The Bereber style was inspired by the handmade rugs of North Africa, and Lorena Canals stylized interpretations of this style offer a somewhat global ‘touch’ to your home. One thing (amongst many) I love about Lorena Canals – besides creating 100% washable, cotton rugs that can be machine-washed – is their descriptive info on the rugs, right down to the colour selection and some of the process on how the rug was made. This particular Bereber Rhombs rug beige base is the characteristic of natural cotton after being carefully selected and washed. The natural cotton colour is from the base blends with the black yarn by creating a rhombs and herringbone pattern. The two ends feature the rug base with black herringbone embroidery and completed with fringes.

This colour combination, together with the simple and elegant motifs, provides the right look in up-to-date, casual, Nordic and timeless ambiances so that it fits in perfectly in home settings (living room, dining room, bedroom, terrace or garden) as well as kids’ rooms.

The Bereber Rhombs rug + Bereber Beige runner are extremely versatility, stylish and elegant! This rug matches and accents almost any decor. I’ve even switched it up and put it in my studio, then changed my mind and put it in our bedroom – which is my personal favourite! The runner has stayed in our hallway connecting the laundry/hallway to the kitchen. I’m not really sure what you’d call our home decor style…I think it’s a bit of mid-century, Scandinavian, minimal? LOL so bad at this. But whatever, these rugs are so perfect and I couldn’t be happier with how they look in our home!

The rugs are hand-made, using natural dyes (so they’re totally eco-friendly and non-toxic) and, as they are 100% cotton, they are both light and soft. They come in beige or black and they’ve also got baskets, cushions and matching blankets. DREAM RUG BRAND MUCH!? I can’t get enough!
