I like to think that I’ve always been one to think outside of the box when it comes to makeup looks… and this doesn’t mean I’ve got to use 15 different products! Thinking outside of the box for me means using what I’ve got and doing some fun looks that not many would think of right off the bat! We all know that monochromatic looks are in, a glossy lid is in, stains are in!
If you haven’t yet heard…Agent Nateur’sh o l i (o i l) and h o l i (c)* are taking the green beauty (and conventional beauty) world by storm! The hype over these two products is so real, you guys! Rightfully so, too! Not only do I love my Agent Nateur products I already own – my ride-or-dieShiva Rose holi(rose) Deodorant and my husbands holi(man) No 5. Deodorant – but Jena, the owner and creator of Agent Nateur is fantastic! Full of great information, how-to’s and more! Today, I’m here to chat about this hype, and how it is so incredibly true! Adaptogens and herbal supplements. We hear about them all the time! They’re in smoothies and matcha lattes (my personal favourite), people add them to baked goods…they’re taking over! But why? What’s all the hype? Is this a trend? Well, not only do adaptogens promote wellness…but they promote beauty on the inside. And when you’re using quality, organic products – not only on the outside, but internally – your skin and body will thank you! As far as this being a trend, eh..I definitely think more people are coming onto the whole adaptogens in your smoothie and lattes deal, which I love! I think that it’s awesome more are becoming aware to the powerful healing abilities of plants! But, remember, too much of a good thing isn’t always good. So, to learn more about adaptogens, read on..
Happpppy September! I can’t tell you how excited I’ve been to finally share with you this months Art of Organics + Laurel Whole Plant Organics September Clean Beauty Box collaboration! This Clean Beauty Box – through the Art of Organics monthly subscription- is incredible and particularly special as I had the chance to test it for about 6 weeks (3 times a week or so)to see how my skin took to it. As you can see in the photos below, it also came with a gorgeous masking brush and perfectly sized masking bowl! Let’s just say this may be one of my new favourite masks, and I know you want to know why…it’s why we’re here, no? ;)
I’m soooo excited about this post! Remember that trip to Nashville I took a couple of weeks ago?! Well, it was nothing short of incredible! Not only did I spend time with family and see friends…but on that Friday, I had the pleasure of co-hosting the launch of Kjaer Weis‘ line at Nashville’s green beauty shop Lemon Laine. Laura Lemon, the lovely owner of Lemon Laine and I dreamed up this event for the past few months and it was incredible seeing it all come together! Thanks to Kjaer Weis and their gorgeous organic, clean makeup line, I was able to do two beautiful makeup looks on a model (the beautiful Jessica) – transitioning a day makeup look to a night look. The ever-so-loved (and gorgeous, might I add) Cafe Roze catered some delicious little bites and we had some tasty wine by Tavola Wine. The invited guests weren’t left empty handed, they each received curated Kjaer Weis goodie bags and were offered a divine Elements Truffles chocolate bar. (You’ve GOT to try these chocolates if you haven’t! They’re Ayurveda inspired, sweetened with honey, incredibly beautiful and so decadent!) Seriously, this event was beyond what I could have even imagined. Thank you to everyone for coming out! Can’t wait to host more like these in the near future!
