Hynt Beauty Makeup Review

I recently found out that Hynt Beauty is the new re-brand of Christopher Drummond! Make’s TOTAL sense – seeing as how I am obsessed with their (famous) concealer and other great products. Here is a little overview of how Hynt came to be, and what it stands for.

Hynt was born through Co-Founder Meryl Marshall ’s need and passion to find makeup and skincare products that offered her the assurance and confidence that whatever she was putting on her skin was safe, non-irritable and carcinogen-free. (My kinda gal!)

Meryl had recently conquered breast cancer, and so she took great care in educating herself on the product labels and on each of the ingredients formulated into her everyday beauty products. Quickly, her search for skin-healthy but still luxurious beauty essentials turned into an elusive hunt.

To her disappointment, Meryl found that other skin-healthy lines failed to fulfill her desire to use luxuriously textured, richly pigmented, and smartly packaged products. Such aesthetic touches are essential to how a woman feels each time she applies her coveted makeup essentials — magical, beautiful, special.

Meryl decided to create her own cosmetics line using state-of-the-art natural formulations. Now women who prioritize the purity and health of their skin have a glamorous, fun and trust-worthy beauty collection that they can wholeheartedly enjoy every day at any moment.

Hynt Beauty claims to be free of everything unwanted and anything else questioned or known to be harmful to the skin or to our environment. Hynt is free of Parabens, Nano-Particles, Petrochemicals, Artificial Preservatives, Gluten, and all products are PETA-certified Vegan (except for the mascara, which they clearly identify) so there is no wondering or double-checking, ever.

 

The Hynt team is awesome! They not only strive to connect and share their knowledge with those who are seeking honest, reliable answers, but they are experts on ingredient efficacy and safety. They are incredibly honest and even make sure to disclose all ingredients for every product.

 

Something I found really unique about Hynt Beauty was their Color Complexion Care. Their powder-based colours are infused with an exclusive blend of nature’s powerful antioxidants, multi-tasking plant extracts, vitamins from tropical fruits, and phytonutrients. The powders are hydrating, last all day and they won’t dry out your skin or accentuate fine lines. This means your skin remains protected and maintains its healthy moisture balance for a flawless, youthful finish that lasts.

 

You thought it ended there? Nope. In order for Hynt products to be handpicked and formulated..the ingredient and formulation must surpass the high standards on their cross-category checklist: High ingredient quality, organic-based, beneficial to skin, efficacious, eco-conscious, cruelty-free and non-irritating to even those with sensitive skin. I love that, and think their standards are great!

DUET Perfecting Concealer: This is that cult favourite I was telling you about! It’s one of Hynt’s best-selling products too! Rightfully so. This concealer can be used as a gentle spot treatment that feels lightweight but provides color correction and full coverage to make discolorations such as acne, age spots, and dark circles vanish out of sight. This stuff is no joke, you guys – it’s my favourite concealer EVER (even outside of the green beauty realm) and that’s saying a lot. The formula is non-drying, non-cakey, and is infused with botanical extracts and oils that heal and protect the skin. A little dab of DUET goes a long way and melts into the skin for comfortable, all-day wear. I freaking love it!

 

SUITE Eye Shadow Palette – Sweet Mulberry: These shadows are totally pure and non-irritable. This specific palette has a sophistication of colours in the trio: soft pink, mulberry, and slate. These shades were carefully selected to seamlessly blend amongst each other for a natural but alluring smokey look. Each palette includes a deeper shade to define, a highlighter shade to enhance, and a standout shade to accentuate the eyes. Every palette offered by Hynt Beauty is meant to flatter almost any skin tone and eye color, and depending on the balance of the colors used, can go from a pretty every day to a sultry, nighttime look. Also, the sleek, colour window palette case has a convenient application mirror which always makes putting makeup on the go, A LOT easier!

 

FORTE High Definition Eye Liner: There’s a reason they claim this is their best all-natural liner. Not only is this liner luxuriously creamy, long-lasting, and paraben-free…but it gives you that intense, sultry, bold eye look. Made with coconut oil and all-natural ingredients, the formulation is irritant-free, making it the best eyeliner for sensitive eyes – I would know, I’m the queen of sensitivities! The gluten-free eyeliner is also vegan, PETA approved, and free of petrochemicals and titanium. The pencil also comes with a cute little smudge tip to soften the line or create a more dramatic smokey eye look. It is super versatile and looks amazing with Hynt’s NOCTURNE Mascara. (Available in a perfect black and a deep dark brown.)

 

NOCTURNE Mascara: One of my FAVOURITE products by Hynt, besides their DUET concealer. This mascara is an organic-based, multi-tasking true-black mascara that lengthens, curls, volumizes, and lifts your lashes to bring out that VA-VA-VOOM! It is Infused with a lash-revitalizing blend of vitamins, antioxidants, and natural plant extracts – Organic Chamomile, Organic Rosemary Leaf, and Organic Sunflower Seed Oil – so it conditions and softens eye lashes while helping to prevent eyelash breakage. (Thank goodness, I’ve had some bad experiences with breakage before.) This mascara is formulated without FD&C dyes and absolutely no irritants. NOCTURNE is gentle, smudge, clump, and flake-free and it has never dried out on me. Finally, I have found my holy grail mascara! It’s a miracle, really.

 

Last, but certainly not least. The Aria Pure Lipstick in Peonies Please. These luxuriously creamy lipsticks are vegan, free of FD&C dyes, and all things known or questioned to be harmful to your skin, health, and beauty. Peonies Please is a gorgeous pinky-berry shade and beautiful for an everyday look or layered a bit for a more dramatic lip. I love the way it feels, how it’s packaged with a tiny flip-mirror/balm feature at the top of the tube, and it contains lip-plumping and moisturizing organic extracts too!
