Alright, everyone, I’m about to get real serious – cus this shampoo and conditioner have completely changed my hair/scalp game. Like…FOR REAL WORKS.
I was a bit hesitant to try another hair care product that claimed it was all-natural, great for the scalp, etc, etc…but the reviews I kept seeing, reading, and hearing about were just too good! I couldn’t pass it up – and boy, am I glad I didn’t!
Moogoo is an Aussie company known for being one of the most environmentally friendly companies out there. They’re incredibly honest about their ingredients, customer care, and sustainability. They’re also known for their skin and hair care range – for anyone, really – but especially those with troublesome skin. (I.e. Sensitive skin, psoriasis, eczema, and dermatitis.)
My sensitive skin can be an issue when it comes to my hair care, cus even if it’s organic and has decent ingredients – if it isn’t tackling the areas I need it to (dry, itchy scalp, and somewhat dry hair) then it’s just a no go for me and sometimes makes my condition worse! Well, I have completely converted to the Moogoo family! Their Milk Shampoo + Cream Conditioner have both soothed my dry, itchy scalp (and yes, it was even like that in the summer – not just cold, dry months) and I have had zero flakiness! Zero! This shampoo for me removes all – and I mean ALL – product build-up with just 2 rinses! The end result is my hair and scalp feel and look squeaky clean without the typical stripped-of-any-moisture feeling I’d typically get with other hair care. The moisture retention (without feeling weighted or greasy whatsoever) my hair is left with is amazing! I still sometimes can’t get over how amazing it is, and often chat with my sister about it being a miracle product! (She uses it as well, and raves about it too!)
If you’re into green beauty, and non-toxic hair care..then you know the crap that’s in conventional shampoos and conditioners. Irritants, fragrances, carcinogens, and crazy toxins. Yep, even in a “mild” scalp care shampoo. Stay far, far away!
So, what Moogoo has done is they’ve utilized the use of many mild and gentle cleansers (in small amounts), to control the micro-flora of the scalp that can cause all of the many scalp problems we experience. It’s pH balanced and is suitable for adults through babies. They explain why your scalp is having issues, they even list every ingredient on their site so you can research and know what’s up!
My scalp is causing me “ big issues”
“Psoriasis of the Scalp” can sometimes be confused with Seborrheic Dermatitis. Seborrheic Dermatitis will cause an itchy or flaky scalp, but can also spread to the hairline, ears, the eyes and eyebrows or along the side of the nose as well as other areas. It is related to Cradle Cap and is a reaction to the Malassezia yeast which is a normal part of the skin’s micro-flora. Our Milk Shampoo and Conditioner are natural and do not irritate the scalp, and we include Piroctone Olamine. As these are wash off products, the time that they can remain in contact with the skin to help is limited. If the condition is severe, a cream such as our Scalp Cream can be rubbed onto the affected areas. Please see our “We got mail page” to read of other people’s experiences.
Plaque Psoriasis can be much more difficult to control and there are specialized products that may need a prescription from your doctor.
Moogoo also has a Scalp Cream that they recommend using prior to washing your hair if you’re really dry and itchy on the scalp. I applied it at night, (in damp hair) and the next morning washed it out. Not only did it give me immediate soothing relief when I first applied it (and throughout the night), but within 2-3 uses my flakiness and itchiness were completely subdued and gone. Along with the shampoo/conditioner – my hair and head were like new!
I cannot rave enough about this hair care, and this company! If you have normal hair, that’s awesome – I still recommend it. If you have coloured hair – get it. If you have dry hair, oily hair, scalp issues, no scalp issues – GET IT. It will make your hair not only feel silky smooth and healthy, but it’s just plain good for your scalp and body. Thank you, Moogoo for your dedication to customers, great ingredients, and for creating incredible products! You’ve got a permanent fan.

Yay! You’re gonna love ’em. Can’t wait to hear what you think. :)
Moogoo completely cleared up my Psoriasis on my scalp, I used to look like a before shot of a head and Shoulders advert but it wasn’t dandruff and using one of those products made my scalp much worse. Since switching to Moogoo I have no more flakiness and beautifully soft hair. I don’t use anything else now or feel the need to.
Hi! That is so wonderful to hear. Not many realize that it is not, most of the time, just dandruff! I am so happy to know you’re loving the products – I agree! I don’t need anything else either. It’s transformed my scalp and hair for the better. Thanks for sharing! :)
Hey there! Thank you so much for leaving this review! I wanted to ask a question actually about how you applied the Scalp Cream (I just bought it). Did you wet your head and then apply it all over? I’m just wondering because I wash my hair every other day, and so it would be nice to not have a total grease-head the next morning. I’m also hesitant to wash my hair everyday because I believe my dermatitis is causing my hair to fall out, and when I wash it more more hair falls out. And also when I apply the scalp cream more hair falls out (since I’m rubbing the scalp and such). BUT I would absolutely love if my hair would stop falling out, and so I’m willing to try completely diving into this product and applying it at night every night and then washing it in the morning. Thank you for your time!
Hi there,
I apply it while my hair is wet. This is meant more for dandruff/itchy/dry scalp, not as much hair loss. I am so sorry you’re having issues with your hair falling out. I am not a doctor, but I would consider seeing a functional doc about that, to be honest. Hope this helps some!
