Kaia Naturals Vitamin Cleanse Cloths are my newest obsession for light makeup removing, or refreshing my face! No, I’m not saying that you should only use a facial cloth to remove all of your makeup, and cleanse your face…that wouldn’t be good for your skin. However, there are times in a gal’s life when disposable wipes are needed. I.e. a hot summers day, or you’re at the gym and need to remove your makeup on-the-go. Or maybe you’re hiking, or camping (or both) and there’s not a sink in sight – the Juicy Bamboo cloths come to the rescue!
So, who is/what is Kaia Naturals you ask?
Kaia Naturals is a multi-award winning Toronto based beauty brand with a focus on providing “fast beauty” with a conscience – aka non-toxic ingredients. Their main product, these Juicy Bamboo Natural Facial Cleansing Cloths, were designed as a sustainable alternative to the usual cleansing cloth.
Made in small batches, these 100% biodegradable cloths are made of one ingredient: bamboo grass, which makes them super soft and free of any harsh dyes, fragrances and chemicals. The cloths are soaked in organic honey and vitamins B12, C, and E. Did I mentioned they’re also 100% biodegradable?! As in, you use them, then place them in the soil or compost and boom…they eventually disappear! They also act as a cleanser, toner, and eye-makeup remover! They nourish AND re-balance your skin without stripping it bare and leaving it dry. In the past – and generally even now – facial wipes have dried out my skin, but these all-natural bamboo fiber cloths are extremely hydrating and gentle enough for even the most sensitive of skins…I mean, you can use them around your eye area! In fact, they are so gentle, they are also the official cleansing cloth approved for use in oncology esthetics training. That should say enough. :)
These cleansing cloths contain a mixture of:
-
Miel (honey) - non-irritating and known for its healing properties, honey is filled with antioxidants and soothes skin
-
Sorbitan laurate - cleansing agent
-
Sunflower seed oil - emollient
-
Hydrolyzed jojoba esters - emollient
Annnnnd they are gluten-free, cruelty-free, sulfate-free and paraben-free! So, as you can see, these are highly-concentrated cloths with skin-loving nutrients. They’ve got a very distinct, citrusy (and quite pleasant/soothing) scent that comes from a blend of natural essential oils such as spearmint, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon and lime. (Yum!) In addition to being eco-friendly, non-toxic, and having amazing ingredients…the packaging the cloths come in are quite unique! Unlike most cleansing cloths which come in a resealable bag (and then dry out super quick), the cloths come in a little plastic container! So, when you’re done using the cloths up you can re-use the container for storing makeup or pencils…or whatever your heart desires!
You can find them in a pack of 10 cloths for $10, 30 cloths for $16 or 20 Individually wrapped cloths for $20 – perfect for on-the-go! Even if you don’t need them to remove makeup, they’re a great natural hand-wipe alternative to keep in your bag, car, etc.
Kaia Naturals Vitamin Cleanse Cloths are available to purchase in some select luxury spas and boutiques across the US and Canada.
