So…here I am again, two days late. It’s Wednesday and I never got to post a Monday Playlist. Reason really being that I was gone to Kansas City over the long weekend I had off. So, I was consumed with my trip and my friends and ALL THE FUN AND FOOD! :)
I again, will be out of town tonight, and all weekend for a wedding. But, as of right now, I am sitting here with time to spare and a nice little playlist for you! So, if you can make peace with me in your hearts…here it is:
Guys, if you’ve ever been in love, ever been heartbroken by a breakup or just bummed over something relationship related – you’ll get this video. It’s beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. No, I’m not emo, I just love the way this UK-based artist portrays it all. ;)
So, enjoy it – Låpsley – Painter (Valentine) Official Video:
P.s. Don’t forget tomorrow is a special day cus Sound Blanket is featuring me on their online radio 7:30PM slot! I get to play all my favourite tunes and talk about ’em! You don’t wanna miss out. You can find more info here, follow them on Twitter here, and Like their Facebook Page here!
When Sammie Sun asked me to guest post at first I was like “yes!”. Then I forgot about how I’m way behind on music trends and even further behind on all things blog savvy. But alas, here I am.
However uncool I may be about knowing the latest bands and the last festival I attended was Pitchfork ’09, I’d like to think I’m still pretty hip. Or Sammie probably wouldn’t even be my friend. Right? (Insert snort laugh.)
With that, I declare it Bonobo day! When my British husband introduced me I was immediately in love with the hypnotic layers of his work. Simon Green is brilliant and sets the bar for his genre of music.
I’m a Black Sands girl but in the summer you’ll find Ketto on repeat in my car at any time of the day. I was so excited to hear that they will be releasing a new vinyl “Ten Tigers” in the UK on July 1st.
Anyways, this post is just perfect to do my nerdy fan shout out in! I’m sucker for heavy bass remixes and you’ve got to check out the re-dub of “First Fire’s” on spotify. All I have to say is yum.
Happy Wednesday! This isn’t a new artist, or new song…or a pretty video (not really a video to watch actually) but it’s one of my favourite Josh Garrel songs and I’ve had it stuck in my head now for quite awhile. So, if you’re keen, please go ahead and accompany me while I indulge in some soulful, vibey, neo-folk sounds. You cool with that? Good. I know I am! ;)
So, without further adieu, here is the beautiful “Season Of Rain” from Josh Garrels 2008 album (one of my faves) “Jacaranda“:
Hey guys! We made it to the middle of the week, finally! Well done. (Also, how awesome is this print of Nashville?! You can find it here and more awesome city prints as well!)
I’m pretty stoked to share this rad new band on my blog today! Before I share what I love so much about this trio, let me go ahead and give you the (very brief) lowdown on how they became LANY, and who it consists of.
LANY is Leslie Priest, Jake Goss and Paul Klein. Les and Jake also have another project by the name of WRLDS. They freaking rule. Not too long ago, Les and Jake decided to join forces with Paul to create LANY. Smooth, happy, dance-y music…with vibes for daaaaays. For real….just take a listen to their two new tracks and ENJOY! Don’t forget to share with friends! :)
You can find LANY’s two new singles on Spotify or iTunes!
