Haaaaaapppppppy December 1st, and HAPPPPPPPY MONDAY! Only 24 days left until Christmas! Woo!
It’s been awhile hasn’t it? I hope everyone in the U.S. had an amazing Thanksgiving! Today’s playlist is a goodie. I hope you are ready to dance a bit, maybe even hum along to some catchy melodies…hopefully those Monday blues will slowly fade away!
Happy Wednesday, and post-Halloween AND NOVEMBER you guys! Can’t believe it’s already November…only 49 sleeps until Christmas. That’s wild.
So, not sure how familiar you all are with these two Indiana sisters, Lily & Madeleine, but you MUST listen to their newest album “Fumes”. If you’re a fan of Fleet Foxes, First Aid Kit, Arcade Fire…and beautiful, striking harmonies, you’ll love them. Not to mention their record label, Asthmatic Kitty, is THE prestigious indie label started by none other than mister Sufjan Stevens. I mean, you HAVE to at least have ’em on your radar. ;)
So, here are a couple of tunes below that I’m loving, taken from their SoundCloud:
Here’s my (late again, I know…I’m so sorry) Playlist for the week! I know I haven’t been that great with posts lately, but I’ve been in the middle of moving and lots of transition and change. It’s all so great!
Also, my pal Zac Farro of Halfnoise dropped his full-length LP: Volcano Crowe today! It’s a MUST HEAR. Seriously, sooooo stinkin’ good. The melodies, the harmonies, the instruments, the percussion….goodness, all so brilliant. You can go check it out on Bandcamp by clicking the album cover below!
Hey guys! Welcome to my special Tuesday post, which I’m super excited about! My Nashville friend, Devan Dubois (with Sensibility Music) just released a new full-length album today called “Le Fou” and it’s amazing! Truly a work of art. It’s currently available on iTunes, and you all should go buy it.
So basically, I shouldn’t need to write or say much – cus the articles, and especially his music, will do the talking. All in all, he is a friend of many talents. A visual and musical kaleidoscope, if you will. Nylon said it best in their article:
“You can’t deny that black and white music videos add a level of cool, but when you pair that with some trippy visuals, your eyes will be glued to the screen. His southern roots shine through as his folky guitar rhythms are accompanied by some hip-hop drums– two styles we love and go perfectly together.“
So, here you go. Watch it. Love it. Buy it. Share it. Thank you! Xo
