Inspiring Interviews Series II: Anastacia Skin Studio + My Experience with Micropigmentation

Who doesn’t enjoy some well-deserved skin lovin’? I love interviewing indie business owners! Each person has a moment in their life when they’re forced to make a decision and they choose the path most difficult – simply because they dream bigger than they live. Anastacia’s Skin Studio is Nashville’s best known hot-spot for organic spray tanning, waxing, micropigmentation (aka microblading) and more! Stace (Anastacia) and I have been friends for almost 5 years or so and I’ve seen her business grow incredibly well. She’s an amazing business woman and friend..plus she totally knows what she’s doing. She literally geeks out over the science behind skin and the cosmetic aspects of it..I mean, I trusted her to microblade my brows! You don’t just let anyone do that! ;)

What’s The Happs: Indie Beauty Expo Dallas!

If you follow me on any of my social platforms…then you know that I got to attend Indie Beauty Expo – Dallas last week with some amazing women! I was so excited to be able to attend this year, as it had been held in NYC and L.A. previous years and I never had a chance to go! It was really convenient to have Dallas as central location to meet up with the ladies – as some live on the west cost and then some on the east!

FRESH LOOK: Follain

It’s time for FRESH LOOK – where I share a favourite green beauty item, shop or site that’s revamped its look and branding! This is a completely new series – as are a lot of my series posts, but I’m diggin’ the idea. Whaddya think?

This past month green beauty shop and native to Boston Follain revamped their website, and I am SO into it! From their layout to their swatches of product, right down to their ingredient descriptions and restricted ingredient list….Follain has GOT IT GOING ON!

Top Green Skincare Products

I’ll be real, for the longest time, I was a makeup girl. Skincare always came second for me…until one day, (quite some time ago) I realized that skincare was essential for healthy, beautiful glowing skin. The canvas to express my makeup looks on…it had to be prepped right, and with the best of the best ingredients!

So, with that being said, I wanted to share my top green skincare products! I’ve broken them down into categories, starting with my first routine – cleansing, and then the rest of the products consecutively follow! Keep in mind, these are what I use right now, on a daily/nightly basis and pretty much the ones I couldn’t live without.

Petit Vours November 2016 Beauty Box

img_9976-1

I am enamoured with this months Petit Vour Beauty Box! It’s full of amazing, gorgeous products that will have your skin singing, even in this cooler weather!

I’ve recently been enjoying the monthly switch-up of illustrators for the description card that comes in each beauty box. The drawings are beautiful, no matter who the illustrator is – every time! This month, the design is by the wonderfully talented @daniellekroll. I particularly love the colour scheme! Pretty pops of red and blue, alongside pinks and other more muted shades. Danielle drew some classic cosmetics and skincare products lining two shelves. I think it’s the cutest thing – I’d personally blow this image up and hang it as a print in my bathroom! (Hmm, maybe I will…)
