This company was not a stranger to me, as my sister Jordana had previously posted about them. She also uses them on a daily basis. With only great things to say, it got me a bit curious as to what was so special about these skincare products. I mean, yes, vegan, non-toxic…yes, natural…but there are a lot of those on the market nowadays, what truly makes OSEA stand apart from the rest? Well, this left me with only one option: testing them out for myself!
Introducing Violet Skin Boutique: Fresh, Natural, and Handmade skincare from the finest ingredients…and I mean, the finest! Her standout product, the Peony Body Oil has completely blown me away and I can’t wait to share more about it – but first, a little background on the Boutique and Violet herself! :)
Looking for luxurious, beautifully packaged, quality organic skincare and perfume? Better yet, an inspirational woman to follow and admire? Lina Hansonis your girl! Lina, as a traveling celebrity makeup artist, has worked with people of all skin types and skin issues. The importance of beautiful skin to her is sacred. Achieving that perfect complexion is what we all strive for…but we aren’t going to achieve it by solely buying luxurious creams and procedures to achieve it – the conventional way is filled with dangerous toxins that harm the skin.
So Lina set out to create effective, chemical-free alternatives to harsh skin care products that are made with pure and natural ingredients derived from the earth. These products help promote a glowing complexion for everyone, no matter the age, ethnicity or skin-type. She believes they help your skin get the nutrients it needs to look its best. That being said, it is Lina’s goal to source the most pure, anti-aging essential oils in the world! She’s collected oils from countries like Morocco, South Africa, India, Tunisia, Japanand Peruto discover that these ingredients have been used and cherished by people for centuries. Lina mentioned that it can be puzzling at times to think about why we use toxic beauty products which are mass-produced in big factories…when the ones derived from earth have helped heal people since the beginning of time. I agree, Lina. I agree!

All natural, vegan and cruelty-free meets punk rock, rebel minimalist! The first thing that comes to mind when looking atBare Bones Body Care‘s branding and products. Isn’t it just the cutest?! The company was born after Monica, the founder and creator of Bare Bones, suffered with years of sensitive skin and allergic reactions. When she was younger, her skin started to react to the mainstream skin care brands and she was forced to switch to the “all natural” options available. Every time she’d read the label of a skin care product her brain went on ingredient overload. She never knew what she was really putting on her body until she did the research…then quickly realized that an “all natural” label doesn’t usually refer to most of the ingredients inside; in fact, the labels tend to mention just one or two of them. Bare Bones is about using only ingredients that will make your skin the happiest skin in all the land. Some elements are made from scratch, and others are sourced from organic and/or local suppliers. All products are vegan and not tested on animals. All Monica wanted were skin care products that had as few ingredients as possible, did what they were supposed to and weren’t harmful to her (or anyone else) in any way…so, she started making her own. Some of the products she makes are cleanser, toner, moisturizer and lip balm – and all in her kitchen! Monica promises:
Being from Canada, and a mix of British, Irish and Italian, there wasn’t very much room for a nice glow – especially in the winter. I also inherited my British/Irish genes of pale skin, freckles and easily burnt skin (if not protected). **Thankfully, because of my Italian blood, I do tan better after a base/slight burn ha.** Anyways, what I’m trying to say is that I not only love the beach, but long for waves, sand and sunshine. I adore the freckly, beachy, sun-kissed glow it imparts! Sadly, it’s fall now and the beach days are over. (SOB) However, I just received this wonderful product from Prtty Peaushun (Pronounced “Pretty Potion”) and have been blown away by it!
