I really don’t have to say much about this video of the week. Betty Who absolutely melts all hearts with this exclusive version of her song “Silas”. It’s heart-wrenchingly beautiful!
It’s Video of The Week time, everyone!
So, lately I’ve had this deliciously wonderful Cass McCombs tune stuck in my head. I wondered if there was a music video for it and low and behold…yes, there was! It’s quite simple, following around Cass at what seems to be a fair or outdoor event of some sort. Then, it gets real good at the end, showing some pretty bright lights and people dancing. If you know me, you know I love me some dancing! Anyways, make sure to watch it for yourself and the whole thing! You don’t wanna miss any of that yummy steel guitar sound towards the end. It’s beautiful.
Hope you all enjoy your Wednesday! Xo
Want more of Mr. McCombs?
This video is the epitome of the end of summer. I just love it so much. It is happy, it is sad, it’s fun, and it’s relaxing…not to mention the video is beautiful, as is the song!
So, enjoy everyone! :)
Hey guys! Welcome to my special Tuesday post, which I’m super excited about! My Nashville friend, Devan Dubois (with Sensibility Music) just released a new full-length album today called “Le Fou” and it’s amazing! Truly a work of art. It’s currently available on iTunes, and you all should go buy it.
Devan, not too long ago, was featured in Nylon Magazine, along with his LONG LIVE music video which you can view below. Want some more info and background on him? Well, he was also interviewed in UK’s Far Out Magazine, which can be read here aaaaand he was interviewed in BEAT Magazine, which can be read heeeere!
So basically, I shouldn’t need to write or say much – cus the articles, and especially his music, will do the talking. All in all, he is a friend of many talents. A visual and musical kaleidoscope, if you will. Nylon said it best in their article:
“You can’t deny that black and white music videos add a level of cool, but when you pair that with some trippy visuals, your eyes will be glued to the screen. His southern roots shine through as his folky guitar rhythms are accompanied by some hip-hop drums– two styles we love and go perfectly together.“
So, here you go. Watch it. Love it. Buy it. Share it. Thank you! Xo
LONG LIVE music video:
Hey everyone! Hope you’re all having a great Saturday! I haven’t posted on a weekend in a little while and I felt it necessary today because not too long ago, my good friend Jessie found this BEAUTIFUL video for the band Daughter‘s track, “Medicine“.
We watched it in awe, completely mesmerized by the beautiful way the video – which is actually a non-profit video and footage from “Hedgehog in the Fog” (Yuriy Norshteyn, 1975) – captured the song. Even though this video footage is from more than 35 years ago, it is incredibly fitting to the lyrics and instrumentation, with sweet and somber notes to it.
I won’t say too much more, this Daughter track says a lot, and the animation in this video says even more. Enjoy! Xo
